IFRS 17 training for actuaries

This training session provides an overview of key technical actuarial considerations and practical insights relating to the IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts (IFRS 17) financial reporting process.

This course is aimed at junior and experienced actuaries and other professionals involved in or exposed to IFRS 17 financial reporting processes. It will also be beneficial to those looking to refresh their understanding of core IFRS 17 actuarial concepts and emerging areas of focus within the industry.

The session is structured as follows:

  • The first half of the day is focused on foundational IFRS 17 concepts and practical considerations relevant to the actuarial reporting process; and
  • The second half of the day covers advanced and applied topics, including selected industry challenges, emerging considerations and practical insights from implementation and reporting experience.
